Well, I have to say that Wasserman Schultz is one of the Democrats that drove me out of the D party. There’s just something about her that seems…. oily. (On the other hand, to be clear, I consider the R’s far worse.)

I generally like AC, but he’s still too apologetic for my tastes. These guys all want the talking heads to come back on their shows, so they’re too cowardly to really rake their guests over the coals. I wish there was some public news venue powerful enough the talking heads would have to appear, and also utterly merciless in cutting through the B.S. I think the public deserves that.

As a side note, the recent episode of Sorkin’s The Newsroom features the idea of debates that actually matter rather than the fluff we usually get. Sorkin usually presents a world that ought to exist rather than the world that does, but wouldn’t it be wonderful if the news reporters of the world really did what they’re supposed to do?

I supposed all things considered we should be grateful AC does what he does.

I think this is right on the money. I agree that he has the potential to be even better, I could see him being a real life Will McAvoy… But I’m grateful for what we do see out of him. It’s better than most in his position.

I enjoy The Newsroom, I need to see the most recent episode. Returning to college threw me off my schedule!

If AC became a real life McAvoy and CNN became like ACN, I would start watching CNN again in a heart beat!

Is Don Lemon still on CNN, and is he still speaking truth to power? He had the makings of something special, I though.

      • Simple Politiks says:

Hmm, I’m not sure. I’m relatively new to politics and news, rarely looked at it over a year ago. From the sound of it I sure want Don Lemon to be on CNN! I’ll keep an eye out.

  • We are so busy arguing over inconsequential trivia like this that we totally are ignoring how Obama has executed over 1,000 executive orders to set up the presidency with 100% control over our country. All he has to do is declare a state of emergency and he (or whom ever is in office) becomes supreme ruler. This is EXACTLY what Chavez has done in Venezuela and the main reason you don’t hear a peep out of Chavez these days. All the while he is heading our country’s economy into a forced crash, so that he can single handedly pay back the third world countries for their sufferings under Colonialism and Capitalism by spreading our wealth to them. Nobody cares…they keep arguing over abortion, crazy women, and which beer is less filling..

    • Dear Fellow Reader,

If you are going to play shocking journalist and make such wild accusations, let’s start with your sources. Who/What are your sources? When did you become privy to this info? Thank you for trying to enlighten us but I quit drinking Kool-Aid in middle school. I would highly suggest you do the same, if no other reason, than to not become a diabetic.

    • Coors and Miller are definitely more filling. I identify my entire personality with Bud Light, which will never fill you up and won’t let you down, and therefore the fine folks at InBev can do no wrong!

Ta for the link SP. Regardless of which party, spin doctors are frustrating especially when further news services just pick up headlines.

  • Lissa Rabon says:

Thanks for keeping the truth out front for those who don’t have the time to research the way you do.

I watch that one on CNN International. She didn’t even tried to correct herself when confronted by her own mistake. Sometimes I just hate how some people are desperate to show the other side as bad. Obama can win this fare even if the super Pac that supports him tone down the attack ads on Romney. Simple basic honest truth should have been enough to convince people, but politics is dirty business… especially nowadays with so many lobby interests on both sides.

    • Simple Politiks says:

Yep. Both groups would benefit greatly from some consistent honesty. It would make voters trust them. I don’t mean the base voters, I mean from voters outside of the base. Which is what both candidates need to win the election.

      • bloodhawk5 says:

Indeed… The independents appear to be equally divided. But I’m pretty a simple fact about either side (I bet Romney) will be the decision point to voters.

“FARE”!? That is why I don’t like posting late at night, I keep forgeting simple errors like that one.

  • It’s always dangerous to post on a political (or religious) post. ;) But here goes! “It doesn’t matter!” said over and over again is telling, isn’t it? As if people don’t NEED to know the truth so they can decide for themselves, they just need to be told what to think. Real journalism for a change. Refreshing.

AC does a great job here. DWS is truly awful in the job as DNC chair. Unbearable. She’s a walking, talking Romney ad.
